OMG this is actually happening, and people are ON THEIR WAY to the Clayton House in Scottsdale, AZ for the first ever Ultimate Product Party!
After 4 hours of set up at the Clayton House the day before, managing vendors as they set up décor and backdrops, helping our marketplace vendors set up, finalizing floor plans, and stuffing our insane swag bags (bags sponsored by the awesome Printed Mint!) – the doors are ready to fly open and welcome our Ultimate Product Party attendees!
As our guests walked in, we had the music pumping and our amazingly friendly volunteers Amy, Toni and Mary greeting them at registration! After they got their very fancy name badges, guests were sent to grab a coffee on us from Crew Coffee truck! The hit of the event was definitely the iced vanilla lattes with oat milk! Big thanks to Key Lime Media for sponsoring Crew Coffee for BOTH mornings of the event. It was the perfect way to kick off the morning!
Coffee in hands, guests walked into the gorgeous Clayton House doing a little shimmey from the sick beats played by David our DJ with Groove Mobile as they took it all in. The main stage and chair holding their swag bags, the giant marqee UPP letters by Desert Glow and balloon garland by Pop of Color and the Barbie Box photo booth and pink epic feather wall by Honeyblooms! The party has officially begun!
Before we started the show, guests were already meeting friends mingling, taking photos in the photo backdrops, rooting through their swag bags and shopping our marketplace vendors!
We had lots of different types of businesses represented at the marketplace ensuring every guest left with a fun treasure! Huge thank you to (list the marketplace vendors)
Kicking It Off!
9:00 and we’re ready to get this show on the road! Our emcee, Renee Dick, founder of Fresh Life Marketing, called us over and set the tone for the day. Let ourself go all in, take the risks, open your heart and mind, and have some freaking fun! She then introduced your happy hostesses- Cat and Allison, who came rolling down the aisle to Naughty by Nature’s OPP (very on brand) and immediately started crying as we looked out into the crowd at all the women were so insanely grateful for for trusting and believing in us and the idea of this event enough to invest in coming. That moment will be engrained in us forever!
Our First Keynote, Erin Sarpa!
Our first keynote of UPP, Erin Sarpa creative director of our headline sponsor, Stationery HQ, took the stage for a badass presentation and exercise on goal setting. She talked about dreams vs goals and the steps needed to make them a reality.
Roundtable Discussions!
Off to the first roundtable sessions of the day! Roundtables are like speed dating for business. Guests had a list of 20 topics to choose to attend over the two days. There wasn’t enough time to go to each table, so they had to be selective in which topic would most benefit the growth of their business! Once they chose, they got to sit down at the table, learn and ask questions with the speakers.
Curious about the topics? Here are the list of topics and roundtable leaders below! Which 5 would you choose to attend??
Refuel and Reenergize!
Lunch time! Much needed food and drink break! Our venue, the Clayton House catered an amazing taco bar for our guests. During lunch, one of our photographers, Vanessa Ro- , did headshots for the VIPs guests! Each guest had a little mini branding photo shoot to use for social media, website pics, branding, etc.
Time for Breakouts!
We closed out lunch and everyone was eager to get into their first breakout sessions! Jackie Walter with Sprinkles of Confetti, Renee Dick and Hilary Krueger presented their hands on breakouts! Their topics are listed below, but the breakouts are the heart of UPP. These are the times to go deep into a topic and get some actual work done! Put pen to paper, type out that email idea, nail down those brand pillars, sign up for a new platform to sell your product on, etc. Learn and take action. Everyone gets to go to each of the breakout sessions too. Our biggest fear with Ultimate Product Party was that people were going to go home with analysis paralysis and not do anything. Having some action plans laid out and some space to start was really beneficial!
Jackie Walter: Selling Your Product on Multiple Platforms
Renee Dick: Repurposing Your Content on All Platforms
Hilary Krueger: Showing Up to Sell Out: Story-based Marketing
Our last keynote for the day, Kevlyn Walsh!
After that breakout rotation, we gathered in the main stage room for our final keynote of the day, Kevlyn Walsh, founder of Festive Gal. Kevlyn taught us how to lean into our bestsellers and go all in on ONE thing, and not distract ourselves with all the different types of things we would make in our business. Kevlyn’s bestseller is party crowns, it’s what she’s known for and she helped our guests hone in on their bestseller and gave some tips on boosting sales with it!
That’s a wrap on Day 1! We wrapped up with some guest takeaways, gave some homework and then we went right into the VIP cocktail party!
The Vip cocktail party!
The VIP cocktail party was sponsored by Rollo and they generously gave us a new wireless label printer and accessories to raffle off to one lucky VIP!
At the VIP party we served signature watermelon margaritas and the guests’ minds were blown away by the breathtaking charcuterie spread by Taylor of Taylored Charcuterie. Taylor knocked it out of the park with a delicious and gorgeous grazing table. It was her first large spread and we were so honored to be part of that milestone for her business! To end the party, PHX Dough Box supplied out guests with mini cookie dough cups and cookie dough cookie sandwiches that were so damn delicious! We definitely snuck some home to eat by the pool while we soaked our feet that night!
Onto Day 2!
It was a magical day full of growth, friendships, impact and FUN! Ready for Day 2? Head over to the next post to read all about it!
Massive thank yous go to our fabulous photographers, Cristy Cross and Vanessa Ronowski for making our photo dreams come true!!
