Today we’re chatting with past Ultimate Product Party (UPP) attendee and product based business owner Andrea Harris Lyons of Anna + Pookie. 

Anna + Pookie is the only female black owned brand dedicated to providing party supplies created for children of color. Their unique party products feature black and brown children in fun and whimsical settings. Andrea’s business journey began when she grew tired of search for party supplies with character and themes representing black and brown children. The lack of diversity was disappointing so she went out and created her own. 

We’re talking with Andrea about taking a leap of faith to attend Ultimate Product Party 2022 and how her business has transformed since then. Spoiler alert: it was due to her networking skills at UPP and fabulous product that got her a contact for Target.com where she is now selling her products!
