Starting from scratch as a product business owner isn’t just about laying a foundation; it’s about building an empire from the ground up. If I were to rewind and begin my product business again, here’s what I’d do differently.

Spending Time to Define Brand Style

Spend more time figuring out what my unique brand style was. Pictured here are some of my very first designs and OMG a lot has changed over the years.

Maximizing Time and Productivity

Would make WAYYYY better use of my time and way less excuses as to why I can’t go after ANYTHING I want in business + life. I’m more productive with 3 kids than I ever was before having kids at all.

The Value of Business Friendships

Saw the value in having business friends SOONER. For so long I was work from home, all alone, HERMIT. I would convince myself that I didn’t have time for friends cause I was “busy working”. Non biz friends are great too, but no one gets you like a fellow business owner. Not to mention I’ve gotten a lot further in business simply by growing my network & nurturing these relationships.

Finding Confidence in Daily Style

Dressed EVERY DAY like the woman who was the business owner I always dreamed of being. I always said I wanted this beautiful, fancy, & successful brand but my day to day garb was not showing confidence AT ALL. I’m a firm believer that when you look good, you FEEL good and that carries over into all aspects of your life.

Ditch The People Pleasing

Stopped giving a FUCK about what I thought other people thought of me. People are going to think whatever they want anyway. The quicker I let go of wasting my energy people pleasing the better of I’ve been.

Prioritizing Joy and Boundaries

Gave myself permission to say “NO” to the things that didn’t bring me joy. The pic shown here is me at a market. I LOATHE markets now and always have. They make me feel so out of my element, but not in a good way. But I felt like I had to do them to grow & cause everyone else was doing them. No more wasting time doing things that you don’t enjoy.
